I have leanred a lot so far and have altered numerous lesson plans to include technology and developed new collaborative projects and assessments. And I believe I have met my first goals that I set for myself seeing as though I was working on them since last year and made huge progress over the summer months.
New learning goals I would like to set for myself form NETS-T are listed below.
1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
c. promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students' conceptual understanding and thinking, planning, and creative processes.
d. model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.
These are my next steps, now that I have new projects, assessments, and lesson utilizing technology I want to focus on how they work in the classroom with my students and whether or not they are learning the content they need. These steps are imperative in my opinion in getting students ready for the real world they will be entering after high school. I would like to get involved with teachers and students from other parts of the world next and engage them in virtual world where we can learn form one another.

Eric,
ReplyDeleteThat is great that you have met your goals over the last year by incorporating more technology into your lessons.
Good luck in achieving your new goals!
It sounds like you have a well thought out plan. I bet the students will enjoy using technology. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteEric,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your progress. I, also, would like to get more involved with other teachers and students from other parts of the world. I think that the students would find it very interesting and rewarding. Do you have any ideas on what you would like to do with your students? I keep thinking about one of my other courses where we heard of students writing to and collaborating with others on a novel, and then the author of the novel actually became a part of their experience.
